Full Stack Engineer
Hi π
Do you want to make a real impact, working for fast-paced startups? Wanna build great AI-native software products from scratch and have an in-depth insight into the whole product you're building? Do you like working together in a tight-knit team where you can be a creative inventor every day β and where you'll be shipping with AI coding agents at your side?
Because when you find a job you enjoy, you'll never have to work a day in your life, right? (OK, that was cheesy. But stillβ¦)
Company & role
At Dashdot, we breathe life into digital visions. We're an AI-driven digital product studio that helps startups, SME's and corporate ventures succeed by building truly amazing software products, and we're building our own products too, like Webclew, our privacy compliance and mobile app auditing platform. We work in all sorts of industries, from healthcare to travel, from B2C to B2B.
We see our future clearly: an AI-native agency, building AI-native products. AI is woven into both how we build and what we build.
As a Software Engineer at Dashdot, you'll join our ~14-person team of Software Engineers, Design Engineers, a Project Manager and our partners. Every day, you'll ship go-to-market-ready products in a creative, fast-paced atmosphere with coding agents like Claude Code as part of your toolkit.
You will:
Not just be a code-monkey π! The beauty of our way of working is that you'll have a true impact on the design process. You'll work together with Sebastiaan (our CPO), Arno (our CTO) and our Project Manager to deliver end-to-end features, seeing them through from conception to delivery.
Work closely with clients and help shape the direction of their products from the ground up.
Write well-designed, testable and efficient code β and orchestrate AI coding agents to multiply your output without compromising quality. You'll integrate data from various back-end services and databases, and design and develop APIs.
Build AI features into the products we ship: LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, custom agents, and AI-native UX. Think of these as first-class building blocks, not afterthoughts.
Practice harness engineering: build the scaffolding that makes AI agents reliable in production β agent loops, tool definitions, context strategies, evals, sub-agents, Skills (composable capability modules agents load on demand), and MCP servers. Observability with tools like LangSmith is part of the toolbox.
Stay on top of emerging AI and dev technologies and bring them into our day-to-day work, both for clients and for our own products.
Help develop and evangelise high engineering standards and best practices within Dashdot, including how we use AI responsibly, safely, and effectively.
Create solid documentation and keep good tabs on your admin. But we promise we'll leave you plenty of time for actual dev work.
What we have to offer
Working in a small team in which everyone's input is extremely valuable.
A fast-paced startup environment with lots of opportunities to grow β both as a craftsperson and as someone helping to define how AI-native software gets built.
A flexible work environment in which you'll be able to work from home 2β3 days a week.
32 holidays per year (20 days + 12 ADV days).
Work materials that allow you to work smoothly: a MacBook, iPhone (or Android) and a mobile subscription with 10GB internet.
A solid remuneration package, including hospitalisation insurance, group insurance, meal vouchers, eco cheques, home working allowance, and a mobility budget.
We do everything we can to make our values come to life, day after day:
Software is about people: we inspire and employ the best and brightest people in a healthy work environment.
We persevere when things get tough: we're deeply passionate about what we do and always stay hungry.
We're product builders: we move fast and choose speed and agility over corporate bureaucracy.

Our technologies
As a product studio, we specialise in full stack TypeScript applications. We primarily use React, Next.js, and Node.js, unless our customers request otherwise. Using TypeScript across frontend and backend lets us ship significantly faster. We also build mobile apps with React Native and Expo, which has served us well for years. In our agent engineering we mostly use Mastra, a Typescript native framework for building AI applications and agents.
On the AI side, we work with:
Coding agents: Claude Code as a daily driver, plus Cursor and other agentic IDEs
LLM integrations: Anthropic, OpenAI and others, via the Vercel AI SDK and Mastra
Agent orchestration & harnesses: custom agent loops, tool calling, Skills, MCP servers
We're always seeking ways to improve our stack, AI-side and otherwise, and we love it when you bring strong opinions to those discussions.
Who we are looking for
Still with us? Then chances are we'll be a great fit π. Some more pointers:
You bring solid full-stack experience (think 5+ years), and you have a feel for platform architecture and technical decisions at the system level, not just shipping features, but thinking about how the pieces fit together.
You (obviously) have strong experience in TypeScript and React, and you're proficient with version control tools like Git.
You have experience developing APIs (GraphQL or REST) and can work with modern front-end build tools like SWC, Turbo, Vite, Bun, β¦
You're fluent with AI coding agents β you've used Claude Code, Cursor or similar in real projects, and you have opinions on when they help and when they get in the way.
You've integrated LLMs into production (Anthropic, OpenAI, β¦), or you're hungry to. You know what tool calling and RAG is and how AI agents are built. Bonus points if you've built or contributed to agent harnesses, Skills or MCP servers.
Working with the Agile methodology is second nature.
You have a thorough insight into how web applications work (security, session management) and in network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP) and architecture.
You get a kick out of getting to the core of a problem and swiftly finding elegant and creative solutions.
You can organise your work like a boss and work within timelines and budgets. Fast-paced environment, remember π.
You have a knack for working constructively with colleagues and clients, including non-technical ones.
You love learning, keep your knowledge state-of-the-art, and are excited to try new stuff β especially in a field that's reshaping itself every quarter.
Are you hyped? Then we're hyped to meet you!
Send us your resume and motivation letter, and we'll be in touch real soon!
